Bettina & Shane {intimate elopement}

Well, after 11 years of photographing weddings that, for now at least, is a wrap. I’m taking time out in 2019 for travel and personal projects - I’m still doing other photography work but not booking any weddings for this year.

Over the years I’ve photographed weddings in every style and to every budget - from large ceremonies on the beach at Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks down here in Denmark on the amazing south coast, to intimate ones in the forest or at one of our beautiful wineries; from four days of celebrations at Wooleen Station in the WA outback to an incredible traditional wedding on a coral island in the Solomon Islands; and there’s been several elopements which are always so special (I was photographer, ring bearer and witness at a recent one).

I’ve been hanging out to post these photographs since Bettina and Shane eloped just before Christmas, giving them time to share their news with all their family and friends. I love that this gorgeous pair feature in my last post before hitting the pause button on my wedding photography career.

Celebrant: Glenda Stirling; Hair & Make-up: Michelle, Belle by Van Buerle; Flowers: Blossoms Nursery, Denmark; Bettina’s outfit: top “off the rack”, incredible skirt made by Shane’s friend’s Mum Francisca Bonsel.
