With both time and health on my side (no weddings booked for this year and now almost fully recovered from pneumonia and legionella), I’m enjoying catching up with a few of Denmark’s locals. I spent the morning with Keith and Donna this week at their home, meeting their much-loved dogs Bella and Chloe, and getting to hear some of Keith and Donna’s story.

I’ve been hanging out to post these photographs since Bettina and Shane eloped just before Christmas, giving them time to share their news with all their family and friends. I love that this gorgeous pair feature in my last post before hitting the pause button on my wedding photography career.

I’d done a couple of mini sessions with Kirsti’s children before so it was a lovely opportunity to do a maternity photo shoot in the studio with her as she prepares to welcome Baby 3 into the family. When Breath, the movie based on Tim Winton's book of the same name, was filmed in my home town of Denmark on the amazing south coast of Western Australia, I was fortunate to be involved in the stills photography.

In March and April each year, Australian salmon run in large schools off the shores of Western Australia. This time sees the fishing families living in their old beach shacks in salmon camps along the amazing south coast.
